Our coffins are hand crafted eco friendly willow coffins, using traditional heritage basketry methods.
Unique Product Features:
Our coffins are made from sustainable, coppiced willow from Somerset - the willow regrows each year from traditional forestry practices.
Our coffins are available in Oval and Petal shapes. Our Oval shape is round at both ends with parallel sides, where as our Petal shape as a curved head end, tapering to a flat foot end.
The coffin bottoms are made from a solid flat base. Six hemp rope handles circle the coffin sides, with wooden toggles and study twine to fix the lid securely shut.
A hand stitched calico cotton liner and compostable plastic liner lie on the inside of our coffins. The coffins are finished with a sleek plait, running around the edge of the coffin lid.
We offer weaving services to families, to enable them to help weave the coffin for their person.
Coffins can be customised to the family or funeral director's preferences.
