The willow is carefully woven onto a
strong wooden frame and finished with
rope / hemp handles.
Unique Product Features:
1. Willow Salix Cordata Americana.
It is an annual plant which grows on plantations. Dry willow is soaked in water for few hours, then boiled in boilers by 2-3 hours at temperature above 100 degrees C. After cooling, the willow is peeled off the bark on manual debarkers. The drying process takes place on the fresh air, so that the willow gets a natural honey-brown colour.
2. Pine wood.
The bottom of coffins are made from pine wood joined together by wooden pegs. We use minimum glue of vegetable origin.
3. Hemp string.
We use hand woven, natural hemp string obtained from hemp plants.
4. Wood stain.
For your coloured coffins we use water-based wood stain.
